Purpose. To improve interdisciplinary linguistic and energetic research by developing general hypothetical and conceptual accounts of the energetic system and mechanisms of cognitive processes of speech-thinking and thought-guided action within the human psyche.
Methods. Classical deductive analysis of scientific assumptions, facts, logical and quantitative information is followed by an inductive and deductive synthesis of key conceptual elements. Systems theory, synergetics and cybernetics provide the methodological language for an interdisciplinary hypothetical and conceptual account of the energetic system and mechanisms of cognition.
Results. The authors provide introductory information about brain neurons, their numbers, connections and capacity to process and store information; energetic characteristics of thinking and information transmission; and mechanisms and types of memory. They describe cognition as a global process that develops continuously throughout life, during waking and sleep. Their proposed energy-field account includes the suppression of weaker forces by stronger opposing forces, integration and resonance of similarly directed forces, and dissipative energetic annihilation. Emotions are interpreted as energy-concepts and sources of psychophysiological energy whose interaction directs conscious thinking and affects the retention of its results in memory. Instincts are treated as triggers of cognitive processes. Methodological propositions are formulated for cybernetic modelling of a synergetic system of interacting energies in the psyche.
Conclusions. The authors regard their hypothetical account of the synergetic and energetic support of self-developing cognitive processes as providing sufficient theoretical and factual material to develop methods for studying the energetic characteristics of most cognitive phenomena.
