Liubov Vasylivna Shnurovska — Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor in the Department of Germanic and Finno-Ugric Philology at Kyiv National Linguistic University.
In 2010, she defended her Candidate dissertation, “Sociocultural features of prosodic interference in spoken English discourse (an experimental phonetic study)”, under the supervision of Professor A. A. Kalyta.
Her theoretical contributions include a classification of the principal types of bilingualism; a general model of the interaction between sociocultural factors and degrees of prosodic interference in spoken foreign-language discourse; and a classification of the main features of prosodic interference in the spoken English discourse of bilingual Ukrainians.
