The article reports an analytical search for methodological tools to achieve conventional terminological unification of cognitive concepts and for universal models that comprehensively interpret individual cognitive activity. It substantiates the methodological potential of the universal pyramid model of the spheres of human spiritual being, known as Klymeniuk’s pyramid. The model is a frontal section of a pyramid constructed along perpendicular coordinates of faith–knowledge and opinions–facts. It is used to describe the self-development of cognitive processes and acts in the individual’s spiritual sphere through different forms of thinking, whose outcomes materialise in speech-thinking and thought-guided action.
The author attributes the model’s universality to its synthesis of systemic and synergetic approaches with linguistic, psychological, sociological and cybernetic knowledge. Prospects are outlined for studying psychoenergetic processes of speech-thinking and thought-guided action and for extending interdisciplinary research into cognitive phenomena and acts through this conceptual model.
Keywords: cognitive science, universal model, Klymeniuk’s pyramid, methodological potential, speech-thinking, thought-guided action.
